Welcome to Atomicity
A Canadian digital lab notebook designed for student research.
Atomicity a digital lab notebook
Students collect large amounts of data from different instruments and in different formats. Connecting that data to the right experiment and project is not well supported by traditional notebooks.
Traditional lab notebooks rely on chronology, which makes work across multiple projects difficult to trace.
Atomicity organizes work by structure, not by page number.
Notebooks are divided into projects, projects contain experiments, and experiments are organized by attempts — all date- and time-stamped.
Faculty control access to Atomicity. They add students and can view student work and data in one place.
The goal is clarity — supporting mentorship, assessment, and continuity across students and semesters.
All data is stored on Canadian servers to keep research data local and aligned with Canadian institutional expectations.
Atomicity is currently in early development. Faculty access is being added thoughtfully to ensure the platform grows in ways that genuinely support teaching and research.
